A wonderful mom whom I deeply respect encouraged me to take note of all the fun things that the boys are saying so that we could look back and remember them, so I've been trying to jot them down and will post the boys' quirky sayings at the end of each month. Thanks so much Chere!!
3/6/12 Jonathan: "Mommy, my throat is sore. I think I need a fruit roll up!"
3/8/12 Aaron at the dinner table. He's told he can't have more garlic bread until he eats some of his chicken. After a few minutes he pipes up with, "Mommy, I'm cold, I need a piece of bread. That will warm me up!"
3/9/12 We're driving up HWY 4 past Murphys headed toward Hathaway Pines. Aaron says, "Mommy, I opened my mouth and it made the engine louder!" Then know-it-all older brother says, "No way Aaron, that would never happen!" I explained that Aaron probably yawned and it popped his ears, which made the engine sound louder. Mystery solved!
3/26/12 Jonathan points to the place behind his knee and asks, "Mommy, what is this place called?" I told him it was 'behind your kneecap'. "Oh, well I thought it might be called my leg-pit, you know, like how I have arm pits?" I told him that his answer made sense, but that everyone else called it something else.
3/27/12 Kris says to the boys as he leaves for work: "Boys, be good listeners for Mommy. She has a sore throat and she doesn't need to be repeating herself." Aaron looks up from playing and says, "Ok Daddy." Then he turns to me and says, "Mommy, I'm so sorry that you have a short throat."
3/28/12 Jonathan: "Mommy, this growing up is sure taking much longer than I thought it would!"
